A recurring “old new” trend that will continue this year is the fashion for chain embellishments and details – an element brought back thanks to Victoria Beckham’s collections, among others. Large and small chains can appear as a detail in spring boots and flip-flops.  

Women’s platform shoes

Platform shoes are making another big comeback – a trend which is either loved or hated, depending on individual preferences. What is certain, however, is that you cannot be indifferent to platforms. In the new collections of fashionable spring women’s shoes, platforms will appear as mandatory elements of slippers, boots, espadrilles and even flip-flops.

Neons a’la the 90s.

When it comes to colour trends, next to the pastel colours, we can bet on neons – i.e. shades of green, yellow and intense pink, so much loved in the 90s. A colour which – in terms of popularity – is likely to replace the wildly fashionable mustard. Fuchsia remains very popular – in this colour we will see, among others, stiletto heels, pumps and flip-flops.

Classic women’s shoes for spring 2021

There will also be well-known and proven classics in the new collections. It is worth completing your spring wardrobe with the following classic models of women’s footwear.

Boots and Chelsea boots 

Black or brown, tailored women’s Chelsea boots are always fashionable – elegant shoes look well with tailored trousers and pencil skirts. In spring outfits, you can bet on classics or models on platforms. This season, openwork boots on a medium heel will be again fashionable. We will wear both built-in versions and girly, openwork peep toe boots. Apart from classic stilettos and flat soles, platforms – extravagant versions of boots – are sure to appear.

A key feature of this season’s flip-flops can be a thick rubber sole, trendy colours (neons are back) or a reference to the trend for plush, quilted flip-flops. Flip-flops are also back in fashion, but in a maxi version with a thick rubber sole.

Stiletto shoes with a strap

This season, we’ll also be seeing a lot of soft, yet elegant footwear. Women’s shoes with a sturdy heel are still very much in fashion, especially models with a strap. Universal shoes – perfect for office, romantic and casual outfits. Stiletto shoes and fitted jeans are a duo that always works and emphasises the silhouette beautifully.

Autumn shoes = spring shoes?

One of the more unusual and classic trends is the comeback of cowboy boots, overknees and jackboots. Footwear typical of the autumn season will also be seen in a new version in spring collections. Cowboy boots and over-the-knee boots are a must-have addition to trendy boho outfits – it is almost certain that this type of footwear will not lose its popularity.

Spring sprint – women’s sports shoes 2021

Last year brought the huge popularity of sports shoes, combining comfort with an interesting form. White girly sneakers remain fashionable. Romantic cut – the “old new” trend for spring/summer 2021

Floral patterns are a recurring motif that can’t be missing from spring dresses, skirts and blouses. If you look at the proposals of big fashion houses for the coming season – flowers and botanical motifs have been combined with large frills and transparent materials, among other things. Summer floral dresses are long, flowing and extremely romantic. Intense colours dominate, e.g. the combination of light green with violets. Pastel dresses and details inspired by one of the two colours of the Pantone Institute 2021 – Illuminating Yellow – are also very popular. There was also another recurring romantic trend on the fashion catwalks: big, puffed sleeves.

• Finally, a floral mini skirt – a bold, girly garment in a trendy length. It looks good with short strappy tops and crop tops. 

Nife

Spring trends in new collections

With winter greyness out of the way, it’s time to update your wardrobe with new colours and cuts for the sunny weather. The spring catwalks of the big fashion houses have brought out the “new old” trends, including frills, transparent fabrics, drapings and puffed sleeves. The casual collections are dominated by sensual clothes, tailored to a woman’s figure and emphasising her assets. Apart from warm pastels, intense colours dominate: bright green, fuchsia, yellow and purple. Outfits in neon colours made a big comeback. Both on the catwalks and in the collections of Polish brands, colours typical for stylisations a’la the 1990s are visible: lime green, bright yellow, bright orange and dark pink.

A fusion of colours and romantic retro details – spring in Polish collections

Women’s clothing for the spring/summer season is sensual, romantic and elegant at the same time. Retro details such as drapings, long cuffs and frills are very fashionable again. Single-colour fabrics and knits predominate in the collections – the exception is the floral motif, which is very popular almost every season. Fuchsia, powder pink, lilac, light purple, grey, yellow – these colours can be seen in the new collections. Casual and sporty outfits prevail among the cuts.

The designs of day dresses are inspired by the fashion of the 1960s. The Polish collections include flowery cocktail dresses and slightly flared midi dresses. The last trend that is strongly visible is sporty style – fitted, girlish tracksuits may turn out to be a hit in spring outfits.

The new Moe collection is dominated by casual clothes and pastel colours. It is worth paying attention to the wide offer of fitted, girlish tracksuits and elegant midi dresses. There is also a fashion inspiration from the catwalks, namely pastel openwork oversize women’s jumpers. Elegant turbans, which are an original alternative to a scarf or a light spring hat, are also very fashionable this season.
